Thrilled to share that my photograph of a polar bear swimming in front of a cruise ship in Svalbard has been nominated for the "Photographer of the Year"-award by @thesocietyofphotographers in the category Environmental Awareness!

This image tells a powerful story about the fragile balance between wildlife and human activity in the Arctic.

Capturing this moment was both humbling and eye-opening, a reminder of why protecting these incredible environments matters more than ever.

The photograph was taken during a trip with @arcticwildlife_tours

Congratulations also to my daughter @cecilie.stuedal for her nomination in the category "Wild Animals".
